"Restoring Hope and Changing Lives"

Post-Release Reintegration
For individuals recently released from prison,
reintegration into society can be an overwhelming challenge. CCBM provides comprehensive post-release support, including safe housing, employment opportunities, and life skills training to help them rebuild their lives. Our reintegration program offers mental health support, mentoring, and financial assistance to ensure that former inmates transition successfully. We connect them with vocational training programs and support networks to reduce the risk of recidivism and empower them to live with dignity
and purpose.

Facility Expansion
CCBM has acquired two acres of land in Verbena, Alabama, designated for development as an alternative sentencing facility. The site requires clearing and preparation, and the Department of Corrections has donated a 50’ x 150’ wrought iron steel frame building for the project. Once assembled and installed, the structure will operate as a residential facility with capacity for 75 to 150 individuals. This new alternative sentencing facility will complement our existing Montgomery housing
program, which currently includes 14 trailers housing up to three men each, and will
substantially expand our ability to provide safe, structured housing and transitional support.

Prison Outreach
A cornerstone of our mission is the spiritual transformation of death row inmates through culinary and transformative rehabilitation. Year-round, CCBM conducts direct outreach within correctional facilities. This includes holistic programs, spiritual support, mentorship, and one-on-one pastoral counseling. Inmates receivedevotionals and faith-based literature, equipping them with the knowledge and encouragement to seek redemption through the Gospel.

Restorative Justice & Reconciliation
True justice is not just punishment; it also
includes healing and reconciliation. Our restorative justice programs encourage inmates
to acknowledge their actions, express genuine remorse, and seek reconciliation where
possible. Through victim-offender mediation, we facilitate conversations that allow for
repentance, forgiveness, and healing. Inmates are also encouraged to write letters of
apology and accountability statements, taking ownership of their past while preparing for
a future rooted in transformation. Family counseling and forgiveness workshops help
bridge gaps and restore relationships, while churches play a vital role in supporting both
victims and offenders in their healing journey.

Summer Barbecue Outreach
Each summer, CCBM organizes enrichment events at 18 prison facilities with communal fellowship. We provide barbecue meals at these
gatherings to foster community, strengthen faith, hope, and provide inmates with a sense of belonging and encouragement through the spreading of the ‘Good News’ and Affirmation.

Quality of Life Hygiene Packages
This initiative brings joy to incarcerated individuals during the holiday season by providing holiday hygiene packages, special meals, and uplifting messages of hope. Volunteers and mission leaders share the message of restoration and redemption through caroling, scripture reading, and one-on-one spiritual counseling. Hygiene packages include a toothbrush, toothpaste, washcloth, soap, socks, a honey bun, and peppermint candy. Our goal is to distribute 20,000 packages this December.

Farming Initiative
As part of their rehabilitation and reintegration process, the men transitioning from incarceration into the facility will actively participate in agricultural work on the surrounding land. Planting and harvesting 10 acres of land located in Verbena, AL, for the distribution of weekly farm-to-table meals in the dorms of the prison. Under guided supervision, they will cultivate and maintain a working farm, growing produce and raising crops to support a sustainable food system. The harvest will be used to help supply meals for correctional facilities, creating a meaningful work experience that fosters responsibility and a sense of purpose, while also contributing to cost-effective, locally-sourced food solutions.

Staff
Our dedicated staff is composed primarily of individuals who have themselves experienced incarceration and have successfully navigated the journey of restoration and reintegration. Their firsthand understanding of the challenges faced by those reentering society brings a unique depth of compassion, credibility, and commitment to
our mission. By employing individuals with lived experience, we not only provide meaningful employment opportunities but also foster a culture of empathy, accountability, and hope. Thereby empowering those we serve to believe that
transformation is possible and sustainable.
